a) Lower part of neck with spring of shoulder from a bearded creature with head turned to his right. Good work; surface of marble comparatively fresh. Note spring of background on ... August 1946, 5 July 1949 ... Similar in scale and size to two surviving Tritons (Giants), but with head turned in opposite direction.
b) Head of Triton, joins with neck. ... The head proves to be another bearded Triton, of the same series as those standing in place, but looking to his proper right whereas they look to the left.
