Eros (shoulders, part of right arm, both wings) flying to right. Above, two zones of egg pattern with dots, with a narrow black band between; then tongue pattern above ... Probably mid-4th century B.C ... For a similar pattern on the shoulder of a lebes gamikos, but only just one zone of egg pattern, see the Type 2 lebes, Berlin inv. 4982 (Schefold, U., pl. 15:2). |
