| Fragment from the rim and upper part. On top of the rim a band of lotus flowers and buds, their stems interlacing. Light incision on flowers and stems. Around top of side wall, a band of rays. Of the figures ... 2 April 1934 ... Light incision on flowers and stems. ... Of the figures on the side wall there remain parts of two warriors; on the left the head and left arm of a helmetted figure, facing left with spear poised; on the right, the upper part, down to the thighs, of a figure facing right, shield on arm, spear poised in right hand.
Purple for helmet plumes, inside of shield, lotus buds, alternate rays; white for the skirt of the tunic of the warrior to the right. |
Most of shoulder with stub of handle and body with part of fillet between it and the foot. Strengthened with plaster. Glaze misfired in places; abraded here and there. P.H. 0.138; diam. 0.081. H. A.
