The discus thrower probably looked similar to the one on Oxford 52 (19), in the manner of Myson (ARV2 241, 52; Paralip. 349, 52). |

Man, probably Dionysos (part of his face and wreathed head), to left. In front of him is an object that is probably the rim of his drinking horn ... Ca. 490-480 B.C ... The figure is probably Dionysos, for most unidentifiable males in the work of Myson are youths. For an exception, see the left komast on the column-krater once London Market, ex Küsnacht, Hirschmann (Paralip. 349, 29 bis; Addenda 201; Cat. ... The fragment shows most of the wreathed head, right shoulder, chest, and start of the right arm of a youth to right. Below his ... Ca. 490-480 B.C ... The subject is probably a komos, and this komast may have looked something like the middle one on Boston, M.F.A. 108.63 and 1973.572 by Myson (Paralip. 349, 23 bis; Addenda 201).
