Glaze misfired reddish and greenish ... Ca. 510-500 B.C ... Similar objects appear in the tondi of two other cups by the Pithos Painter, London, B.M. E 29 and E 30 (ARV2 139, 8--9). C. H. Smith (Catalogue of the Greek and Etruscan Vases in the British Museum III, London 1896, p. 59) suggests that the object may be a discus.
