Three areas included:
a) Deep stony fill in middle of peristyle (p. 3471) and from clearing trench of inner rectangle in peristyle court (p. 3551).
b) Footing trench of SE pier of peristyle (p. 3468) and footing trench of second pier from west in south aisle (p. 3469).
c) Other areas, period of peristyle (pp. 3461, 3463, 3465, 3557). |

Fillings in and to the north of Building A/Poros Building/Greek Building ("Strategeion"), the accumulation mostly a late archaic dump, but not deposited till near the middle of the century. Most of the ... First half of 5th c. to ca. 460-450 B.C ... Excavated areas were kept separate as follows but "LT is uncertain if useful or desirable to keep any or all of these areas separate ... the inventoried material from c is of the same sort as that from a and b." |
Destruction Layer, Brick Building.
It represents material from the layer of fallen brick covering the floor and wall socles of the Brick Building and therefore marking the destruction of the structure ... To ca. 165 ... Presumably the Brick Building was demolished for that very reason, although it may be noted that in some areas there was a layer of ash and carbon over the floor of the Brick Building and so the immediate cause of destruction may have been fire. |

Well 19: Latest Mycenaean. Near Klepsydra. Diameter mouth 1.25-1.35m., narrowing about a third of the way down and becoming rectangular, 0.90-1.0 to a side. Muddy at m; water collecting rapidly at 8.m ... Late Mycenaean ... Closed deliberately as a part of a general clean-up of squatters' dwellings or warehouses, probably following a shift in population from the congested citadel area to the open and now secure areas below it.

| Matt McCallum ... The pyre was uncovered in a small, triangular area between the BZ Building foundations (but at a lower level) and the northern scarp of the current excavation area. It rested in a patch of orange-brown ... 1-7 August 2006 ... Found amongst the pyre fill were pieces of burnt bone, concentrated areas of charcoal, and iron slag. |

Well on Slopes of Kolonos, apparently with two periods of active service. The earlier dating from ca. the turn of the era well down into the 1st c. A.D. Probable that the well was never cleaned out in ... POU Early to second half 1st c. A.D ... But it is not impossible that the well was put out of use by the construction of a monumental stairway connecting the two areas as some time say late in the first or early in the second century of our era. |

Associated with the building lying under the Roman Street Stoa. Its fills divided into 5 separate layers, with the bulk of finds belonging to Layer 1, the ... 14 June-21 August 1973 ... As we dug the well we noted many areas where the sides were no longer preserved.
