Curly hair on head. Mustache, chin, beard and sideburns rendered in very low relief and by incision ... 26 March 1947 ... Replica of Meleager.

Man (most of head, a bit of shoulders with himation) probably seated to right, holding a spear. In front of him, another figure (lower drapery, heel of right foot) standing ... Early 4th century B.C ... The shaggy hair of the man on 444 bears some resemblance to that of two youths on Vienna 1143 by the Meleager Painter (ARV2 1410, 27; Addenda 374). |
