The eyes and nostrils pierced, and a hole in the forehead (for hanging ?). The forehead incised to represent hair.

Open behind, but edge is smooth, as if finished. Two holes in top of head, behind wreath, for suspension. Above the hair over the forehead, a wreath of ivy.
