Three non-joining fragments, a + b of lip, bowl, and one handle, c of lip and bowl, d of bowl. Reserved line on inside of lip. Glaze on c and on handle slightly abraded. Est. diam. at rim 0.20; max. dim ... Ca. 500 B.C ... The dangling neck has probably had its head severed by Iolaos, who comes in from the right. ... Glaze misfired ... Late 5th century B.C ... Finally comes a youth, probably Iolaos, standing to left, a myrtle wreath around his head, wearing a chlamys and boots. |

P.H. of ... Ca. 440 B.C ... Then comes Iolaos (right forearm with hand on hip, chlamys fastened at right shoulder [now missing, but the arrangement of the folds confirms this], lower legs with boots) standing frontally, probably looking to right and holding two spears (shafts) in his left hand; next is Athena (a bit of peplos, right hand with spear) to right. ... Red: boots of Iolaos.
