Floor fragment with ring base. Concentric circles on underside. Glaze fired greenish in places on both inside and outside. Max. dim. 0.049. Amazon (head with Chalcidian helmet, the cheekpieces turned ... Early 5th century B.C ... She wears a corslet and has a baldric over each shoulder.

Wall fragments missing. General type as P 24316 (ΣΑ 2526): This is the characteristic general type for the large proportion of the lekythoi from this group. Bell mouth with variations in height and spread; ... May-June 1954 ... Scene: warrior in white corslet putting on his greaves; on each side two onlookers holding spears.

Mended with small missing pieces restored in plaster and painted, handle B/A completely modern. Glaze flaked slightly on outside. Top of rim reserved. H. 0.103; diam. of rim 0.29; diam. of tondo 0.113; ... Ca. 510-500 B.C ... He wears a Chalcidian helmet, a corslet over a short chiton, and greaves, and he holds out his round shield (device: wreath) on his left arm. ... He wears a corslet over a short chiton, greaves, and a Chalcidian helmet.

Three non-joining fragments, a + b of lip, bowl, and one handle, c of lip and bowl, d of bowl. Reserved line on inside of lip. Glaze on c and on handle slightly abraded. Est. diam. at rim 0.20; max. dim ... Ca. 500 B.C ... All that remains of him is a bit of his corslet, part of his right forearm with his cloak over it, and a little of his right hand holding the knife (end of handle).

Broken and mended with many missing pieces restored in plaster and painted, notably a large amount of the rim. Three concentric circles on underside of foot. Glaze misfired on A--B from stacking in the ... Ca. 480 B.C ... A youthful warrior with a low-crested Corinthian helmet pushed back on his head, dressed in a short chiton with corslet and cloak, as well as greaves, stands to right, holding a phiale in his outstretched right hand, about to pour a libation on a flaming altar. ... A bit of his helmet with upturned cheekpieces remains as well as the ends of three pteryges of his corslet. In his left hand he grasps a spear; in his right, he holds out a phiale toward the woman, who faces him, left hand on hip, dressed in a chiton and himation.

Three non-joining wall fragments. Reserved band on inside at top of P 110. Max. dim. P 104: 0.103, P 110: 0.087, P 2223: 0.07. Prange, Niobidenmaler, p. 209, cat. no. GN 15, pl. 21 (P 110 is mispoised) ... Ca. 450 B.C ... P 104 preserves somewhat more of this zone: a bit of the rim of a round shield, three pteryges of a corslet, the skirt of a chiton, and the bent knee of a fallen warrior.

Fragment a shows a warrior (pteryges of his corslet, skirt of short chiton, scabbard at left side, left arm and hand with round shield seen from the inside, a bit of his left heel just above the lower break), falling to right, at least to judge from the position of the fragment, which comes from well below maximum diameter and from what remains of the figure.

Eight non-joining wall fragments, a and b with rim and strengthened with plaster. Band on inside at rim, a narrower one 0.068 below rim. Glaze fired red on inside, slightly misfired below figures on outside ... Ca. 460-450 B.C ... At the left is Menelaos (head with Chalcidian helmet, part of shoulders with flaps of corslet, a little of his round shield seen from the inside) standing to right, facing Apollo (head with laurel wreath, left shoulder with himation), who probably stood frontally, head turned to left. ... Dilute glaze: inside of shield; decoration on corslet flap; hair of Eros.

Fifteen non-joining fragments of wall, P 18278 b--c and P 19582 a--d of torus rim with zone of ornament below. Glaze mottled here and there; has a greenish cast in places; abraded in part on rim. Max ... Ca. 480 B.C ... But when one tries to reconstruct any piece of the set (helmet, corslet, sheathed sword), part of the weapon or armor would have to appear in front of her, where all there is is black glaze.
