Mended from many pieces; about one-third, including both handles and foot, restored in plaster. Most of decoration missing.

| Mouth and part of neck missing. General type as P 24316 (ΣΑ 2526): This is the characteristic general type for the large proportion of the lekythoi from this group. Bell mouth with variations in height ... May-June 1954 ... Scene: in the middle Apollo with cithara right; at right, woman facing him (Ariadne?) and Dionysos holding horn, standing right looking back at them. |

Cup rests on ridge (worn); convex underside with spiral.
Six grooves preserved on exterior. Emblem within scraped groove.

It is broken left and below, ... 11-18 March 1932 ... Free use of incision and of applied color: white on maidens and stones; purple on chiton and fillet of Theseus, peplos of Ariadne(?) left; hair of youth, right. |
