Painted pattern of fascia of A 1710 (ΣΑ 2165) was transferred to mortar when this pieces were built into the Late Roman wall. [Agora Object] A 2452: Wall Plaster

Scores of fragments were found. Some of the pieces have been made up into two panels. The rest are stored in a tray. The plaster is of three colors, red, black and a stippled white. Enough is preserved ... 11 December 1953 ... The rest are stored in a tray. The plaster is of three colors, red, black and a stippled white. ... The black belongs to the "orthostate" course at the bottom of the wall. The "orthostate" were given a sunken band around their edges and the joints were indicated by incision. ... A black fragment in the tray has a deeper sunken band than the orthostates and may be part of the toichobate.
