Part of rim and wall missing.
Conical stand, flaring at bottom. Deep, spreading bowl. Irregularity to right of break suggests that there may have been a single handle. Hard, fine, reddish ... 2nd or 1st century? (context mainly of 3rd century after Christ but with two late Hellenistic coins [ΓΓ-211, ΓΓ-212]) ... LIX:136 and five unglazed cups from an Augustan grave at Priene (Priene, no. 112, p. 428, fig. 545:4). |
Round-mouth Juglet.
Handle, center of floor, and two-thirds of body restored.
Bottom slightly concave, with groove around edge. Two grooves just above base of wall. Flaring rim. Strap handle from shoulder ... Context of 115-86 ... Very micaceous, light brownish gray fabric (10YR 6/2); dull grayish brown glaze (10YR 4/1) inside and out.
