A, Hephaistos(?): in the Gigantomachy(?). The fragment preserves the face of a man with a very long beard, to right, with ... Ca. 490-480 B.C ... : in the Gigantomachy(?). The fragment preserves the face of a man with a very long beard, to right, with a cloak over his outstretched left arm. ... Beazley (ARV2 461, 24) suggested that the subject might be Zeus in the Gigantomachy, presumably because the added red looks like the flames of his thunderbolt. ... Here, the subject is not the Gigantomachy but Psychostasia.
