Mended from several pieces; all the stem missing, one handle and part of another, nearly half the rim and a large piece from the left side of the medallion. Irregular reserved circle around the medallion ... August-September 1932 ... The warrior kneels left, holding a spear, and a pelta (about half missing) decorated with a large circle and dot near the top.

Wall fragment. Max. dim. 0.037. Uncertain subject. What remains is the head and neck of a pantherskin overlapping something decorated with toothed stripes. At the bottom of the fragment is part of an ... Probably late first quarter of the 5th century B.C ... In this case, the crosshatching could be a wickerwork pelta. But this does not explain the pantherskin.
