The fragment preserves the slightly raised head, a little of the back, and the start of both outstretched ... Ca. 510 B.C ... The jumper of 1604 may have looked like the one on the slightly later cup (only reversed) by Onesimos, Boston, M.F.A. 01.8020 (ARV2 321, 22; Paralip. 359, 22; Addenda 215).

I, archer (arms, body, ... Ca. 510-500 B.C ... What remains of the archer's arms on 1517 suggests that they were positioned somewhat like those of the standing archer in the tondo of Boston, M.F.A. 10.207 by Onesimos (ARV2 321, 21; Addenda 215).

Five non-joining wall fragments, a with start of keel. Glaze much pitted on underside of bowl. P.H. a) 0.18; max. dim. a) 0.25, b) 0.174, c) 0.087, d) 0.107, f) 0.062; est. circumference at ground line ... Ca. 500 B.C ... The slanting position of the left calf and foot on fragment c indicates an athlete in a fairly active pose (cf. the javelin thrower in the tondo of Munich 2637 by Onesimos [ ARV2 322, 28; Paralip. 359, 28; Mind and Body, cat. no. 46; Addenda 215]). The hand lightly touching ground seems to belong to the left athlete on fragment d, who sits on the ground, and the athlete in front of him is very likely a jumper, who may have looked something like the one on the outside of Florence PD 265 by Onesimos (ARV2 322, 29; Addenda 215).

Eight non-joining wall fragments, a and b with rim and strengthened with plaster. Band on inside at rim, a narrower one 0.068 below rim. Glaze fired red on inside, slightly misfired below figures on outside ... Ca. 460-450 B.C ... Since the examples are not very numer-ous, it is worthwhile to list them, because the composition of 303 stands somewhat apart with regard to the position of Eros. Onesimos: Malibu, the J.
