Est. diam. of rim at outer edge 0.25; P.H ... Ca. 510 B.C ... Apollo, Leto, and Artemis. ... Behind him, the left hand and wrist of Leto holding a flower, also to right. ... Thus, the composition showed Apollo with his kithara between Leto and Artemis, the three flanked by palm trees, a grouping that fills well the available space, for the circumference of the figured area is ca. 0.60 m.

Krater. Most of rim, part of body, and one handle restored. Foot chipped, hole in floor (probably intentional); some appliqué figures partly missing. Molded foot; broad, flat resting surface. Low, hollow ... Context of 150-110 ... She wears chiton and himation with triangular overfold, the himation drawn over her head (Leto?). (4) Ecstatic maenad dances to left, looking backward over her left shoulder. ... For similar Dionysiac figures on Neoattic marble kraters (none identical to ours) see Fuchs 1959, pls. 15--20, 22, 23, 26. The Leto figure is paralleled in reverse on an appliqué in Pergamon (AvP I, ii, no. 1, p. 256, Beiblatt 32:1).
