Only plate preserved. The eye half of the buckle; flat, trapezoidal, with a long rectangular hole at broad end and two small circular holes beside it. At narrow end are two pierced projections for the ... 13 April 1937 ... At narrow end are two pierced projections for the pin which held the cloth or leather. Incised decoration on the face; a groove along the short end; diagonal nicks along the sides, and three dotted circles between the long eye and the two holes.

High shoes without tongues, to cover the ankles (and more); two eye-shaped holes for laces at each side ... 8-10, 12 April 1948 ... A shallow groove up the inner side, from sole to top, indicates the line of the seam; the shoes faithful copies of real leather shoes, made from one piece of leather.

The exterior decoration may have included ... LH IIIB2-LH IIIC Early ... There are two linear looking signs, but probably the result of a curious rodent during the leather hard stage.

Inscribed stele with relief. Upper front right corner broken away and surface somewhat worn and flaked, but otherwise complete. Tall stele with cavetto capital the face of which has a sculpted relief with ... 26 May 1972 ... A small boy sits in the lower left corner cutting something, presumably leather. A Cobbler's bench sits in the right foreground with two sandals on it.

Trumpeter (most of face, a little of ... Ca. 480 B.C ... Paul Getty Museum 77.AE 11 by the Kleophrades Painter (ARV2 186, 51; Addenda 188) has short hair, at least to judge by what protrudes from the edge of her leather cap. Thus, while the figure on 257 may indeed be an Amazon, it is perhaps best to leave the identification open.
