Decoration in matte black; two bands below lip; a band at shoulder and one above base; on upper wall a band of dot rosettes and spirals, interrupted by panels of vertical chevrons. The smaller piece is burnt to a greenish gray.

Handle zone decorated with vertical stripes (rather than zigzag) except near handle, where there appear to be careless chevrons. One of the new joining fragments preserves a slight dent made prior to firing.
