| Description: | Broken on all sides. The face and most of the hair left. The central part of the woman 's hair is arranged in a herringbone pattern design with the waves of the hair drawn down on either side of the pattern. Above a fillet a mass rises, decorated in herringbone style. This may represent a very curious and exxaggerated coiffure or it may possibly be a headdress of polos type. On the left side of the face a straight ridge projects and may represent the falling folds of a veil. Rather crude work. Traces of red on face. Yellow buff slip. Red micaceous clay. | |
