| Description: | Two joining fragments preserve about a quarter of the mold for a circular plaque. Mold finished with plain raised ledge. The design seems to be a rosette with broad shallow rounded petals, surrounded by a band of scallops. On the back of the mold a carefully smoothed groove near the center. Good pinkish-buff clay. ADDENDA: Cental octagonal design with bosses in center. Lotus buds around it, then band, then rays, then final band. Cf. Hesperia 64 (1995), p. 460, n. 254. | |
