Title:   Stamped Amphora: Koan (double handle)

Description:   Large amphora with broad sloping shoulder and small plain toe; rolled rim;
double handles to upper shoulder; groove on shoulder about 0.03m. above handle attachment; peg of toe like Rhodian but short. Fragments of wall and rim restored in plaster.
Capacity: (poly 15.ix.77, revised from 45.050 wheat VG 1939) 44.500.
Light red to brownish clay with small black bits; remains of light slip; gray smears around mouth and upper handle attachments (from the wash used inside).
Fragments of several double handles in cans.
