Title:   Hand and Wrist Fragment

Description:   Mid-forearm to palm of left arm and hand of over life-size statue has long sleeve with thick cuff at wrist, snug fitting. All fingers broken off. Strut on wrist just above palm; heavy rasp work on palm showing that hand was close to body of statue, palm next to body. Thumb held inwards as seen in folds of flesh and position. Sleeve has several broad thick folds carefully finished; cuff soft, thick rolled edge.
Careful Roman workmanship.
Pentelic marble.
