Young woman with upswept locks in very high relief, nearly life-size, sheared away from background. Thick roll of drapery at back of neck, modeled with contour by means of a drilled channel. Young woman's head is turned three quarters to her left and slightly upwards. Smooth finish to her face and neck. Hair cursorily carved and thick, rough-picked towards background. Right ear shallowly carved. Pentelic marble. | |
