| Title: | Marble Statuette of Woman | |
| Description: | Head, arms, and legs missing. The woman stands upright, wearing a chiton which is drawn tight over the breasts and gird about the waist. There is a chlamys hanging diagonally across the back, and as there is no sign of this in the front, it was probably held outstretched in the upraised left hand. The right arm seems to have been flung out backwards. The torso shows no sign of this motion whatsoever. There is a curious square lump on the back of the neck - perhaps part of a support. White marble (Pentelic). | |
