| Description: | Medusa medallion, leaf calyx with Hermes masks. Part of medallion and lower wall preserved. Medallion: A gorgoneion encircled by a large groove from which the glaze has been scratched away and a row of beading. Calyx: A row of tall leaves tipped with plain triangles. Between the tips, masks. Clay: Yellowish, buff. Glaze: Firm black glaze somewhat worn inside and out. A circle in red around center of interior due to stacking in the kilns. | |
