Title:		Black Glaze Salt Cellar

Description:		Small plain flat-bottomed bowl with slightly inturned lip. Miltos on interior, as if the pot had been used for mixing color. Red to black glaze; thin brown wash on bottom. Cf. Hesperia 14 (1945), p. 153, table II, no. 4. In academic year 1935-36 S.W Midgley identified this pigment as Cinnabar, Natural Mercuric Sulfide. Also by E. Caley, 26 April 1937.
