| Title: | Lamp Fragment with Relief Decoration | |
| Category: | Lamps | |
| Description: | Broken all around. Mold made. From the upper front part of a figure wearing an elaborate breastplate; over the left shoulder falls the mask of a lion's skin; eyes punched. At the lower edge of the fragment an air hole(?). Light red clay; purple-red glaze wash outside, and in part inside. Cf. P 5693, form a very similar mould, but more elaborately detailed. Character of glaze suggests that both may be plastic lamps. | |
