Description:   Intact. Similar in shape to P 5422 (Β' 704) but somewhat larger and a little plumper. No lid.
Body, from bottom to point of greatest circumference, covered with glazed bands, one wide and three narrow, alternating. At base of shoulder, band of long-necked, long-legged birds with hatched bodies, left. Between each bird, two dots. Below base of neck, on each side, three panels separated by vertical lines: outer panels filled with checkerboard; central panels with horizontal reserved zigzag, the triangles above and below cross-hatched. Neck panels front and back filled with hatched complicated maeanders; above, zone of birds left, two dots between each, above upper handle attachments. On outer face of lip, row of dots. Horizontal bands on handles.
Buff clay with thick buff slip; thick black glaze, badly peeled.
ADDENDA P 5422: Long ovoid body on ring foot, high concave neck flaring into rounded lip; two vertical strap handles, shoulder to middle of neck.
