| Description: | Mended from four pieces. Shallow saucer with horizontal loop handles, ends out-turned at rim, one partly preserved. A stand is broken away. Outside, lines; strokes below rim. Inside, on rim, parallel strokes between bands; within, the figure of a warrior running right. His long plumed helmet trails down behind. His great round shield, which covers most of his body, is decorated with bands, hatching and a central swastika. Uncertain object in front of his nose. Gray buff clay; dull red glaze. | |
