Description:   Fragments of rim and walls, and all the foot, missing; restored in plaster.
Conical ring foot, ovoid body with double vertical loop handles, like proto-geometric. No neck; the lip shallow concave on its upper face. Around base, rays with dotted circles between. Above, bands with zigzag pattern between. On each side of the body, two ducks facing: their eyes reserved and with circles in the reserved spot. In handle zones, conventionalized orientalizing floral ornament, made to look like barnyard charicatures. Between the ducks a thistle-tree, or thistle-wheel. In field, zigzags, hook spirals, etc.
Attic clay, slipped; glaze dull black to red. Unglazed inside.
Context:   Brown earth under road fill.
