| Title: | Plate with Sgraffito Decoration | |
| Category: | Pottery | |
| Description: | Mended from many pieces; nearly complete. The foot is broken at the bottom. Originally it probably stood on a high foot. Coarse reddish clay covered with white slip and yellowish transparent glaze, which turns yellowish-brown in the sgraffito lines. Patches of green and yellow-green paint are applied under the glaze. The exterior and rim are solid green. In the pattern, the border seems to represent a large fish. Between his head and tail, the head of a bird appears to rise out of a plant. | |
