Title:   Storage Amphora: Stamped

Description:   Fragments missing from sides. Plump body; low neck with downturned lip; heavy handles oval in section. The bottom is drawn to a heavy stem tipped with a small point.
Fine buff clay containing much fine mica.
ADDENDA Stamped on one handle: Νικάνδρο[υ
Possibly of the same fabric as P 3978.
Context:   Cistern, west of Bouleuterion, third chamber from north.
