| Description: | Single fragment broken all around. Fabric discolored gray from burning. Thick wall, strongly curved, possibly at the shoulder (?). Reserved: interior. Exterior decoration: part of a chariot scene. A goad in added red angled upwards. Reins with a thin band of added red over a broader band of black glaze. Three very fine incision lines added for detail to the reins. Below, the back of a horse in dull black glaze, with a fine incised outline. Between the reins and horse, a hand in added white, directly on the surface, with three fine incised lines to indicate fingers. The figure most likely stood behind the chariot, gesturing to the right. Light wash on surface. Attic clay. | |
