| Description: | Bowl with low ring base, convex side wall and outward flaring lip. Two horizontal loop handles. The lower body, to the points of attachment of the handles, is painted black; at the level of the points of attachment three narrow black bands. The handles are glazed black on the outside, unglazed inside. The upper body has, in black on each side, a latticed lozenge between two double-triangle hourglasses lying on their sides. On outer surface of lip, three narrow black bands; another on edge of lip. Interior, on inner surface of lip, four narrow black bands. Interior of side walls is glazed black; in center of floor, a round reserved panel is divided into eight segments by four lines crossing at the center; the space between this reserved circular panel and the black glazed side walls is filled by fourteen narrow circular bands, forming a series of concentric circles around the panel. Fine pinkish buff clay; the glaze dull brownish black. | |
