Title:   Potter's Test Piece Fragment

Description:   Single fragment preserving portion of test piece, including a top edge. Piece cut from the neck of an amphora and preserves upper part of handle. Paint on interior and exterior fired black; brown where were dilute. Handle canonically decorated with intersecting stripes at top. Horizontal band toward top of interior; paint extends onto preserved top edge. Further traces of paint on right side of interior.
Clay core and surfaces fired close to reddish yellow 7.5YR 8/6. Piece optimally fired.
