Low, flaring base ring; on the shoulder to either side of the handle is criss-cross hatching in thin clay; the glaze has been scratched from a groove around the base ring and around the top of the side wall, exposing the miltos-covered clay. The tasselled ends of ribbon done in white paint hang on the side wall beneath each handle. Fine buff clay, metallic black glaze. | |
