Description:   Pear-shaped alabastron. Intact except for hole in bottom, evidently scraped on inside. Small vertical handle, just below rim and attached to it.
On top of rim, circle of dashes pointing in; on outside of rim, dots. On body, panther-bird surrounded by rosettes and floral ornament.
Careless incision. Applied purple on plumage.
Whitish-yellow clay. Black glaze, greatly worn.
Early Corinthian.
Context:   Well behind Stoa Shop XVIII.
