| Description: | Broken all around. Small fragment from the shoulder of a large wide-mouthed vase, with the start of a moulded rim preserved. Good black glaze outside; the inside shows a heavy dilute glaze up to the rim and thick black, apparently a second application, below. Inscribed in thinned clay paint, in large letters, around the shoulder. Cf. P 5697 and P 18996, similarly inscribed, and with the rilled rim preserved. | |
