| Title: | Black Glaze Column Krater | |
| Category: | Pottery | |
| Description: | Missing fragment of handles and rim, all the base and much of the lower part of the body. Restored in plaster on the analogy of P 21928. Ovoid body. Low shoulder. High, slightly flaring neck. Flat rim, projecting toward the outside and sloping slightly in that direction. Its undersurface occasionally shows a trace of undercutting, sometimes none at all. Columnar handles, rooted in shoulder, bent outwards, and joined along the top to the side of the rim. Dull black glaze, thinly applied; on the interior mostly fired reddish-brown. It covers all extant portions except for outside edge and undersurface of rim, and a narrow band around body about half way down, which are reserved. Corinthian? | |
