Title:   Black Figure Siana Cup

Description:   Mended from over 100 fragments; a few small pieces missing, restored in plaster.
Interior
Large medallion: bearded warrior running to left, two spears in the right hand, shield in the left; greaves and leather helmet; the episemon is the bust of a bearded male in profile to left; flowing locks (horns on forehead?); two tattoo marks(?) on shoulders. Around, broad lotus-flower and palmette band bordered by three black lines. Reserved band just below edge of rim.
Exterior
Myrtle wreath around rim, a black band marking the offset below; the wreath not extended over the handles. Handle zone, A and B: grazing horse to left, between palmettes starting from the handle attachments. Below, about half-way down wall, reserved band with four black lines.
Edge of foot, and below, reserved except for a black band at the meeting of stem and resting surface and a dot in the center inside. Handles reserved inside.
Free use of incision and added red.
Context:   Well east of Stoa, room 6, bottom.
