Description:   Cracked and broken in removal from grave. Complete but for chips. Heavy egg-shaped body, small flaring foot. Neck sharply offset from shoulder, slightly concave in profile, flaring up to deep thickened rim. Handles, neck to shoulder. Small reserved panel on neck containing segment of battlement maeander; above and below, zigzags. Belly stripe, opposed lines. Handles, herringbone; above and below, horizontal lines.
Pinkish-buff clay. Glaze black, somewhat metallic. Iron stain on shoulder and one handle from sword wrapped around it (IL 1058).
Context:   Grave 3, burial urn.
