| Description: | From the wall of a round-bodied pot, with the start of the curve towards the neck; probably an oinochoe, type III. Thin brown wash irregularly inside. The upper part of a bearded man, left; his body slightly bent, his right arm extended. In his left hand he holds both the top of a cross-topped staff and the end of a second crook-shaped staff which rests on his left shoulder. He appears to be wearing a short garment; the sleeve indicated on the left arm. Inscribed in faded white above the figure: Σ Σ Ε Υ Excellent glaze. Relief contours. Brown for hair, beard and eyelashes. | |
