Title:		Black Figure Skyphos

Description:		Mended from many fragments. Fragments of rim and side and part of one handle restored. Comast scene. A) On either end a wreathed man dancing right. In the center, a woman playing the flutes; behind, a boy balancing a wreathed amphora on his left shoulder. White for flesh and hair of woman, wreath of man on the right, wreath of amphora. Red for beards of men, fillets of women and the two men on the left, forelock of man on right, dots of woman's drapery. B) The girl here plays the cithara; behind, a bearded man to right. On either end, the figure of a wreathed boy dancing right. White for flesh and hair of woman, upper part and strap of cithara, wreaths of man. Red for beard of older man, forelocks of all three men, fillet of woman, body of cithara and dots of woman's drapery; lip of amphora. Below one handle, a bearded he-goat; white for horns and markings of body of goat; red for neck of goat. Under the other, a boy squatting right, looking back; red for his fillet. Red also for alternate leaves of tongue pattern above foot.
