| Title: | Black Figure Lekythos | |
| Category: | Pottery | |
| Description: | Mended from many pieces. Considerable gaps in figured zone which depicts reclining Dionysos, looking left, with satyrs and a maenad. One satyr and the maenad advance toward the couch from the left, the other satyr (mostly missing) advances from the right. Each has one hand raised. There appears to be a stool in front of the couch and a vine springs from behind. Very careless work: hasty incision, white freely and heedlessly applied. On shoulder of vase, three large palmettes around collar of small strokes and red band at base of neck. | |
