Title:   Lamp Fragment with Suspension

Description:   About two thirds of upper part preserved; nozzle and bottom missing.
Circular lamp with pierced handle set in center of plain discus; a filling hole beside it. Broad rim with faint traces of herringbone pattern (?).
No glaze.
Reddish-buff clay; one side much burned.
Type XXVIII of Corinth collection.
Context:   Late Roman sand fill north of Bath.
