| Description: | Intact but for part of mouth. Band handle and flaring ring foot. Double vertical dot row down reserved shoulder in front; to either side, two sets of compass-drawn concentric semicircles (8), centers filled with hourglasses. On handle, ladder pattern, lowest rung a ring; inside of mouth glazed. Greatly pitted and flaked pinkish buff clay; shiny black glaze. With its proportions this oinochoe is late: over-pointed oval body, dainty foot, low slim neck; cf. Desborough, Protogeometric Pottery, pp. 47ff. | |
