| Description: | Handle of a pitcher. Orange - red on buff. ADDENDA 2018: Single sherd to a closed shape (jug/hydria/amphora) comprising a vertical oval section handle with no other preserved features. The exterior decoration consists of a medium band around the base of the handle and a scroll on the exterior of the handle. The paint is thick and evenly applied, but unevenly applied light to dark brown. There are no traces of use-wear or burning. A blob of paint on the side of the handle may constitute a potter's mark, but could be accidental as well. Furumark Motif 1: 48 | |
