| Description: | From a vase lid. Black on pale buff. ADDENDA 2018: Two sherds mended into the complete profile of a small lid with convex cap and slightly flaring lipless rim. There is no central perforation. The exterior decoration consists of two narrow bands on the exterior of the wall, one just below the junction with the cap and one mid-way to the lip. The cap preserves two groups of two narrow bands: one encircling the apex of the cap, and one approximately mid-way between the apex and the junction with the wall. The paint is thick, evenly applied, and fired black. There are no traces of use-wear or burning. Top fragment added in 2018. Furumark Shape: 334 | |
