| Description: | Fragment of a krater; grayish buff clay; gray, brown glaze decoration: rim - broken rope pattern within a reserved band, two faint bands about body. ADDENDA 2018: Single sherd to a large krater with horizontal, flat rim. No other features are preserved. The exterior decoration consists of a painted lip with a medium band running below the rim. There is part of an unknown motif preserved. The interior is monochrome. On the flat surface of the rim, there is a reserved band with a fill of quirk motif. The paint is thin, but evenly applied, fired somewhat unevenly dark brown to black. There are no traces of use-wear or burning. Furumark Shape: 282; Furumark Motif 1: 48 | |
